Ok, now that I know how to embed videos... I found another one on JibJab (funny site if you've never been to it... I like it better than YouTube). This is a medley of funny cat videos. Hit the play button in the bottom left corner...Enjoy!

RIVER OF DREAMS -billy joel-

Mail Art

Here's some mail art I did some time ago for a friend at work who did me a favor... it didn't get mailed to him, but still, it's a decorated envelope, I love to do them. This was a new "technique" I had developed at the time of stamping directly onto the paper with my Colorbox Chalk pads, making blocks of color and then stamping over that in black or dark colored inks for the images.

I was inspired by GPP Street Team's challenge/crusade... I hope to do a new one soon... what an awesome blog and challenge! I've found so many fun blogs from that site to explore... everyone seems to be having so much fun with the crusade. If you are interested go to:

Finally a couple new ATCs

A New ATC book and an old one

I found a new ATC book at the book store last night.

It's pretty nice, loads of ATCs and good ideas. I like that its focus is on stamping. I'm getting back to that lately. I love to see all the different ideas and themes. I hope I have time this week to work some more.

This is a book I've had... and recently dug up from one of my boxes. I had been looking for it for a while now. It has some interesting techniques I'd like to try out.

I'd recommend either book if you find them at your local bookstore or library. We all need inspiration now and then!

A real deal!

I got three of the Gryphon and Sabine books by Nick Bantock this weekend at the bookstore for a great deal. I'd always put off getting them because they are kind of expensive... and although they are wonderful, they seem a little extravagant. Well I saw them for $2.99 each so I got a set of 3! This is the second series. His work is so lovely and it's such a neat idea that it has things that pull out and unfold that you can examine. That's why it is really cool to own them. I recently got a few of his books from the library, but it's just not quite the same. If you haven't already seen them, be sure to check them out... either at the library or the book store.
